Tropical Storm Lorenzo Forms Far East Of Florida
Tropical Storm Lorenzo officially formed early Monday morning far east of Florida.

The area of low pressure has become better organized, with a large burst of deep convection and cloud top temperatures below -80C forming near the center. An earlier ASCAT-C pass showed tropical-storm-force winds, with a peak derived wind of 36 kt.
