Ten supervisor seats were up for election across Long Island, along with various council positions and a mayoral post.
Incumbent Town of Hempstead Supervisor John Ferretti declared victory over Democratic candidate Joseph Scianablo at Nassau GOP headquarters.
"We took all three towns,"
said Nassau Republican Committee Chairman Joseph G. at Nassau County GOP election headquarters. In North Hempstead, Supervisor Jennifer DeSena declared victory, and in Oyster Bay, Supervisor Joseph Saladino was reelected.
The results showed Nassau Republicans retaining all three supervisor seats in the county.
