An early morning weapons complaint call on Nov. 2 in Val Caron led to charges for three people.
Greater Sudbury Police responded to a firearms complaint at around 6:15 a.m. on Municipal Road 80 in Val Caron. The complaint stated that three individuals were outside a home in possession of a firearm.
According to the police,
“Officers attended the area and upon seeing police, the individuals fled on foot,”said GSPS in a news release. Two individuals, a 52-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman, were immediately taken into custody.
The third individual fled into the bush and was later taken into custody by the tactical unit after hiding inside a house. At the scene, police found a bag containing a shotgun, which the suspects had dropped when they spotted police and fled.
