The 63rd Pugwash Conference on Science and World Affairs has opened in Hiroshima, Japan, with around 190 participants from 40 countries and regions.
The five-day conference will focus on discussing the elimination of nuclear weapons, nuclear disarmament, and security in the Middle East.
A Hiroshima declaration is expected to be adopted on the final day of the conference.
The conference theme is
"80 Years After the Atomic Bombing--Time for Peace, Dialogue and Nuclear Disarmament".
