Allan Smythe-Lance, a man with a lengthy criminal record, pleaded guilty to seven offences, including assault, theft under $5,000, and mischief under $5,000.
Assistant Crown attorney Andrew Allen described Smythe-Lance's record, which includes assault, robbery, sexual assault, and sexual interference, as "horrendous."
"I'm getting too old for this,"
said Smythe-Lance, who apologized for his actions. Defense counsel Eric McCooeye stated that his client "had been doing well" since 2019 but that relationships had caused disruption.
Ontario Court Justice Robert Villeneuve told Smythe-Lance that "only you can decide" to change his ways. Smythe-Lance's 100 days of pre-sentence custody were enhanced to 150 days.
