Canada's Summer Tourism Numbers Reach All-Time High

Record numbers of tourists visited Canada during the summer, driven by strong domestic and international travel.

The tourism industry saw significant growth due to various factors, including international events like the G7 summit in Kananaskis Country, Alberta.

Tourism operators across the country benefited from the increased tourism, with the sector generating a record-breaking $59 billion in revenue between May and August.

This represents a six per cent increase compared to the same period last year, with domestic tourism up seven per cent and international travel from overseas markets increasing by 10 per cent.

Canada’s tourism sector generated a record-breaking amount of revenue.
