A former sub-postmaster, Steve Marston, who helped expose the Capture scandal at the Post Office, will not receive compensation from the Government's new redress scheme.
Marston, along with 33 others, is appealing against his conviction related to the Capture scandal, which predates the notorious Horizon software scandal.
I never stole a penny
Marston was convicted in 1998 of stealing £80,000 and accounting offences, despite his claims of innocence. He was the first to raise concerns about the faulty IT system to The i Paper.
The Government's redress scheme has been launched, but Marston will not receive any compensation.
