Fired Wyoming Librarian Wins $700K in LGBTQ Book Dispute

Terri Lesley, former Campbell County Public Library director, will receive $700,000 in a lawsuit settlement after being fired for refusing to remove LGBTQ-themed books from shelves.

Lesley was dismissed following a 4–1 board of trustees vote citing performance issues, after two years of conservative pressure over LGBTQ content in the library’s teen section.

Lesley sued the county for violating her First Amendment rights.
