Arkansas Baseball Rallies to Beat Dallas Baptist
The Arkansas baseball team defeated Dallas Baptist 5-3 in an exhibition game at Baum-Walker Stadium, thanks to a big seventh inning and superb defensive play.
A key moment came in the top of the ninth inning when Arkansas left fielder Brenton Clark made a remarkable catch, robbing DBU catcher Mac Rose of a 2-run home run.
“Right when it was hit we knew it was going to go to the fence. We just didn’t know if it was quite going to get over it,”
said Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn, praising Clark's effort. The win was secured by Clark's perfectly timed leap, which allowed him to catch the wind-aided ball above the fence.
