A cloudy and chilly pattern has taken over the region, with a mix of rain and mountain snow expected to arrive late in the evening and linger overnight.
According to KTVZ, Bend Ore., this wet mix will impact the morning commute from Lava Butte south to La Pine, as well as Sisters, making roads slick.
The snow level is expected to be around 4500 – 5000 feet, which will impact the mountain passes.
The snow will be able to accumulate on grassy areas, and a snow/slush mix is likely on the highest points of the passes, including Santiam Pass and the road to Mt. Bachelor, Century Drive, close to the resort.
