Pennridge Edges Council Rock South in Shootout

Pennridge girls soccer advanced to the district quarterfinals after a 1-1 draw through double overtime, winning 4-2 on penalty kicks.

The Rams, top-seeded, battled through 110 minutes of regulation and overtime against No. 16 Council Rock South.

Senior goalkeeper Cece DeMoss made the decisive save, and sophomore Harper Posey buried the clinching kick to send Pennridge (16-3-0) into Saturday’s quarterfinals.

The team leaned on its trademark toughness and late-game resilience to move closer to another deep postseason run.
