MLA Rohit Pawar to Fight Legal Battle in Rs 1,400 Crore Land Scam
MLA Rohit Pawar has vowed to take his case to the Supreme Court over an alleged Rs 1,400 crore land-allocation scam involving the Bivalkar family.
Pawar accused the Maharashtra Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of protecting corruption and ignoring serious evidence submitted by the Forest Department.
According to a complaint filed by forest official N.G. Kokare, the Bivalkar family allegedly acquired government land fraudulently, resulting in a loss of Rs 1,400 crore to the state.
Pawar's decision comes after meeting Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe on Monday, where he alleged political interference and police inertia.
