Scooters Regain Popularity
Motorcycle sales slipped in September, but scooters have made a comeback as a preferred mode of affordable transport.
According to the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI), scooter sales increased by 4.6% in September compared to the same month in 2024.
- Scooters now represent 5.7% of all motorcycle sales.
- Overall motorcycle sales decreased by 2.2% compared to September 2024.
- 63,988 motorcycles were sold in the first nine months of 2025, a 2.2% decrease from the same period last year.
