Derby Destination Now a Straight Head-to-Head
The destination of next year’s English Derby has become a straight shootout between Towcester and Dunstall Park.
The two tracks were confirmed as the only venues to submit an expression of interest prior to this month’s cut-off point.
"I guess you could say there were no surprises with Mike Davis [Towcester] and Arc [Dunstall Park] both registering their interest.
According to the GBGB’s Mark Moisley, the two tracks now have until the end of the week to submit their detailed proposals.
These proposals will then be assessed by an industry panel, which will include a broad cross-section of industry stakeholders, including trainer and owner representatives.
Each bid will be considered on its individual merits before a decision is reached and announced.
