Canadian Lobbyists Represent Major Polluters and Environmental Groups

A new report by FMinus reveals a conflict of interest in Canada's climate action, with lobbyists representing both major polluters and environmental groups.

Major Canadian environmental organizations and civil society groups are using lobbyists who also represent Canada's biggest polluters, according to the report.

"As the climate crisis gets worse for Canadians, there’s a hidden cause,"

said James Browning, founder and executive director of FMinus, in an interview with DeSmog.

The report was prepared in conjunction with Environmental Defence and re•generation, a youth climate advocacy organization.

Author's summary: Lobbyists in Canada represent both polluters and environmental groups.
