Demolition and Reconstruction of Burlington Central Park Building
The old Burlington Central Park building, originally the Drury Lane Sewage Treatment Plant in the 1950s, is to be demolished and replaced.
According to City of Burlington staff, the 18-month, $1.4-million project will have "no meaningful impacts" on the park's various uses.
- Staff and equipment will be temporarily relocated within the park during the work.
- The new maintenance building will be larger, approximately 156 square metres (1,680 square feet), with an outdoor storage area of about 300 square metres.
There will be "no meaningful impacts" to Central Park's various uses during the demolition and reconstruction.
More details will be available after the new building's design completion in February 2026.
