Drive-thru Dessert Parlour Refused Retrospective Permission
Retrospective plans to convert a former filling station into a drive-thru dessert cafe have been refused.
Planners cited concerns over "congestion and indiscriminate parking" on Great Horton Road, which is already a busy area.
The site, located at the junction of Great Horton Road and Havelock Street, was previously an MOT garage before being converted into a business called Shake Street.
The proposed café will contribute positively to the local area, providing a community space and enhancing the vibrancy of the streetscape.
The application, submitted by Yasar Iqbal, was met with 16 objections, with concerns including the impact on local traffic and noise pollution.
