A 19-year-old man, Deng Chol Majek, has been convicted of murdering a 27-year-old hotel worker, Rhiannon Whyte.
Majek followed Whyte to a railway station and stabbed her multiple times with a screwdriver on October 20, 2024, after she finished her shift at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel in Walsall.
Whyte suffered 23 stab wounds to the head and left side of her chest and arm, and never recovered consciousness, dying in hospital on October 23, 2024.
Today, Majek was convicted of murder and having an offensive weapon following a trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court, which began on October 13, 2025.
