The shift towards value-based careers is evident in the increasing number of young women pursuing careers in public service.
Unlike previous generations, who aspired to corporate success, many young women today are drawn to careers on Capitol Hill, in fields such as law, government, politics, and advocacy.
According to the Pew Research Center, there has been a significant increase in female representation in local legislatures, from 31% in 2016 to 47% in 2024, as seen in the 15 city councils examined.
