While on a visit to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Honolulu resident John Minami took note of the Waikiki Condominium, located across a beach park in the Tangjun Aru neighborhood.

During a trip to attend his uncle’s change of command in Carlsbad, Calif., Mayhem Woolsey of Ewa Beach discovered Aloha Ice Co. His only complaint: no melon flavor.
