Despite a ceasefire in place since November 2024, Israeli airstrikes killed 1 and injured 7 in Lebanon.

According to Lebanese authorities, the Israeli army launched 12 airstrikes in southern and eastern Lebanon on Thursday, targeting several areas, including the southern town of Bnaafoul in Sidon, Khirbet Dweir, and the Nabatieh district.

The Lebanese state news agency NNA reported that Israeli fighter jets bombed an area between the towns of Roumine and Houmine, and an Israeli drone hit the town of Blida in the Marjayoun district as residents were harvesting olives.

Other targeted areas included the districts of Sidon, Marjayoun, Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, and Baalbek in the east.

Lebanon will gradually increase the number of troops deployed south of the Litani River to 10,000 by the end of 2025, according to President Aoun.
