Government Launches First Digital ID
The UK government has introduced the first digital ID as part of its plan to digitalize various forms of identification.
According to the new rules, anyone starting a new job in the UK must hold a digital ID, which aims to tackle illegal immigration.
- Digital ID cards, known as "Britcards," were announced last month, subject to a full consultation.
- The first digital IDs, digital veteran cards, are available for ex-members of the armed services.
