Cudahy’s Lakeside Pub Closed Indefinitely After Fire
The Lakeside Pub & Grill in Cudahy is closed until further notice after an early morning fire damaged the building.
A fire broke out at the establishment, located at 3800 E. Layton Avenue, and may have started in the kitchen. Firefighters were called to the scene at 6:18 a.m. Thursday for a report of smoke, according to Cudahy Battalion Fire Chief Justin Piper.
The hardest times make the strongest people.
Workers from a fire restoration firm were busy boarding up windows and placing tarps along the side entrance. A sign in front of the boarded-up business thanked customers for their support and well wishes.
Fire Chief Justin Piper stated,
Once on scene, we found a lot of smoke in the area, his vehicle being the first to arrive at the fire.
