Damage Estimates After Historic Floods in Southwestern Colorado

Durango, Pagosa Springs, and Vallecito were severely affected by the high water.

The cities of Durango and Pagosa Springs, along with the town of Vallecito, are still calculating the damage after six days of heavy rain and flooding that began in October.

It's still too early to assess a dollar amount. It's a very fluid number right now.

According to Pagosa Springs town manager David Harris, emergency responders lifted evacuation zones for 390 affected homes in La Plata County, but some roads remain impassable.
