Bucks' apparent Tyler Smith stance sets up painful reality

Bucks' Apparent Decision on Tyler Smith

The Milwaukee Bucks seem inclined to cut Tyler Smith ahead of opening night, ending his time with the team one year after drafting him.

Last Thursday's game against the Pistons may have been Tyler Smith's last in a Milwaukee Bucks jersey. If so, the franchise would yet again ditch a promising draft pick after one season.

There's good reason to believe they will, as Smith's preseason minutes decreased significantly, from 13 in the first game to none in the last two contests.

Before training camp, Smith seemed like a decent bet to make the roster, given his solid performance in the G League with the Wisconsin Herd and his potential as a floor spacing big with impressive athleticism at just 20 years old.

He didn't do much as a rookie, but then again, the Bucks didn't give him much of a chance.

Author's summary: Bucks likely to cut Tyler Smith.
