The Montgomery County Clerk administered the swearing-in ceremony for the new County Treasurer.
Mandi Hargis was officially sworn in as the new Montgomery County Treasurer at noon on Tuesday. Although she won the election in November 2024, due to state statute, new County Treasurers do not take office until the second Tuesday in the following October.
Prior to her election, Hargis served 18 years in the Montgomery County Treasurer's Office, bringing a great deal of previous experience to her new role. She will serve a four-year term as Treasurer, taking over from outgoing County Treasurer Nancy Clubine, who officially retired after more than 40 years of service.
