Driffield Haulage Firm Saved in Pre-Pack Deal
BI Halder & Son Limited, a haulage firm based in East Yorkshire, has been rescued in a pre-pack sale after falling into administration.
The Driffield-based company provides a full range of services to the agricultural sector, as well as modern bulk storage, drying and testing facilities.
The company, which has been trading for more than 50 years, ran into difficulties due to pressures resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and increases in fuel and other running costs as a result of the war in Ukraine.
Running costs were further impacted by interest hikes, which put even greater pressure on the company’s already stretched cashflow position.
