SOAR Partners with Global Energy Company for Job Hiring Event
Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR) is teaming up with Framatome, a global energy company, to host a hiring event in Eastern Kentucky.
The company is seeking individuals with mechanical skills, including electrical engineering, welding, and HVAC, to work in the nuclear energy field. The event is open to applicants of all experience levels, as Framatome provides on-site training and certification.
“This event is so important for our area. Because we know, with the outmigration of the coal industry, we have lots of workers who have transferable skills,” said Jessica Barry, SOAR EKY Talent Network Program Manager.
According to Barry, this opportunity allows workers to utilize their transferable skills and provide for their families in Eastern Kentucky. The hiring event will take place later in the month.
