College Strike a Symptom of a Larger Issue
Liberal MPP John Fraser, critic for labour and education, met with union leaders in Thunder Bay on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing support staff strike at Ontario's colleges.
"This thing that we built, the college system, is being allowed to wither,"
Fraser said, adding that
"The strike is just symptomatic of that."The strike, which has been ongoing for almost a month, involves members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union picketing outside colleges across Ontario, including Confederation College.
