Pueblo’s ‘Little Jewelbox’ Temple Emanuel celebrates 125 years

Temple Emanuel, a synagogue on the north side of Pueblo, has stood for 125 years as a testament to the local Jewish community's resilience.

The congregation believes strongly that the temple is not only the synagogue for the Jewish community, but it also belongs to the citizens of Pueblo.

The synagogue, known as the “Little Jewelbox,” features a stunning Star of David in a stained glass window, surrounded by radiant beams of color. The temple recently celebrated Simchat Torah with joyful songs and dance, marking the cycle of Torah readings.
