John T. Edge, a renowned storyteller of the American South, has published a new memoir, House of Smoke: A Southerner Goes Searching for Home, delving into his troubled family history.
Edge, former director of the Southern Foodways Alliance, has contributed to various notable publications, including the New York Times, Gourmet, and NPR's Weekend All Things Considered, and hosts the TV program True South.
