Permanent Preservation of Santa Barbara's More Mesa
Santa Barbara County and community partners have vowed to protect 36 acres of More Mesa from housing development pressures in perpetuity.
More Mesa, a 325-acre area of oak woodlands, riparian habitat, and informal public trails, is a beloved nature preserve located just west of Hope Ranch.

A new conservation easement will protect the 36-acre county-owned portion of More Mesa from development, while still allowing current recreational uses and park management.
No additional development will be allowed on the protected land.
