Mayo has been voted one of the safest counties in Ireland, with Roscommon taking the top spot, followed by Leitrim in second place and Mayo in third.
The safest county criteria included population, the number of people per crime reported, and the number of Gardaí available.
A study by Long & Co found that in the last 5 years, 314,124 ‘theft and related offences’ were reported throughout the country.
Connolly insisted she believes in rehabilitation.
