Chesterfield Township has been recognized for its exceptional service, commitment, and adherence to best practices in election administration.
The township earned a Certificate of Achievement in the Michigan Townships Association's Township of Excellence program, which awards townships that complete a rigorous application process and meet high-level criteria in a specific area of township operations.
The Chesterfield Township board, department heads, and election administrators have made concerted efforts to engage with their voters and others, to educate and ensure awareness on changes in state Election Law and expanded voter rights, and to help ensure confidence in their local elections.
