A drink-driver from Bowerchalke has been banned from driving for nearly two years after crashing twice in just over three months.
Lee Colman, 37, crashed a Honda into a telecoms pole on High Road in Bishopstone on March 31. He lost control of the car when he came around a bend at speed, and the vehicle ended up on its side.
Colman was breathalysed and arrested, and a blood sample measured 190 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres, exceeding the legal limit of 80 milligrams.
Just 101 days later, on July 10, Colman crashed a second vehicle, an uninsured Citroen C3, into a tractor while having a child passenger. Police attended the scene after being called by concerned firefighters.
Colman was banned from driving by magistrates in Salisbury.
