This year's event includes 30 new places to explore, and while all of them are worth visiting, there are a few that stand out.
The Chicago Architecture Center’s free annual event, Open House Chicago, returns next weekend, unlocking the doors to over 200 sites that are not typically accessible.
Top 5 Must-see Sights
- Hilliard Towers Apartments at 30 W. Cermak Road: Built in 1966, these circular apartment towers were originally public housing residences.
Some old favorites return, such as the Fine Arts Building, and Wintrust’s Grand Banking Hall, a place so Greek Revival it makes me want to slip on a toga and deposit a few drachmas.
