The Tasmania wind project, proposed for a site south-east of Milena and 25km north of Bothwell in Tasmania's Central Highlands, has been delayed for the fifth time.
The project, now known as the St Patricks Plains wind project, has been waiting on an EPBC decision since May after several changes, including a reduction from 67 to 47 turbines, resulting in a 291 megawatt (MW) project.
A Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water government spokesperson stated that the delays, including the most recent one, were requested by developer Ark Energy.
Ark Energy has been contacted for comment.
The new deadline for a decision is now November 28.
