Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center Rebuilds Sukkah

After a devastating wildfire destroyed its sukkah, the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center received help from friends to build a new one.

Members of Temple Isaiah, which donated the sukkah, traveled over 350 miles to assist with its construction.

The Eaton wildfires in Southern California had previously razed the synagogue, leaving only its Torahs intact.

“While this past year was a tragic one for the congregants and clergy of the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center, it has been inspiring to witness the incredible resilience and the determination of this sacred community,” said Anshei Isaiah President Andy Shapiro.

The new sukkah was built with the help of Temple Isaiah, located in Lafayette, California, in preparation for the harvest holiday of Sukkot.
