Canadian Olympian Rory Linkletter is set to target the Canadian marathon record of 2:05:36 at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday.
At the elite press conference on Friday, Linkletter made a statement with his outfit, wearing a full Canadian tuxedo, consisting of a Levi's jean jacket, slim denim jeans, and a long blonde mullet.
He looked more like he'd just stepped out of a Bruce Springsteen concert than into a marathon elite press conference.
Linkletter will be competing against defending champion John Korir and half-marathon world record holder Jacob Kiplimo, who both wore Nike tracksuits.
The Canadian marathon record of 2:05:36 was set by Cam Levins in 2023, and Linkletter is determined to break it.
