South Lake Tahoe, Calif – For the first time ever, the Grand Slam of Curling has arrived in the United States, bringing world-class curling competition to South Lake Tahoe. On Tuesday, Olympic athletes stepped onto the ice at the newly renovated Tahoe Blue Event Center to begin the round-robin stage of the tournament, which will advance eight teams to the playoffs.

Premier International Competition

The Grand Slam of Curling is a top-tier international series featuring the best men’s and women’s teams worldwide. Since 2015, the organization has offered equal prize money to both divisions, with players now competing for over $375,000 in total prize funds. Traditionally hosted in Canada, this year’s event marks a historic moment as it takes place in the U.S. for the first time.
