NBC Sports and Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire, England, have agreed to extend NBC Sports' exclusive media rights in the United States for the Royal Meeting, one of the world’s most prestigious horse racing events, through 2028.
Since 2017, NBC Sports has broadcast Royal Ascot across its linear and digital platforms. Under the new agreement, NBC Sports will continue live coverage of the entire five-day event, running from Tuesday to Saturday in mid-June, offering over 20 hours of racing.
Beginning in 2026, NBC Sports will expand its Royal Ascot coverage to include races designated as Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series "Win and You’re In" qualifiers. The coverage will also provide increased editorial insights on horses and connections preparing for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with Royal Ascot to showcase their incredible racing and pageantry each June, while connecting the event to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, which is the focus of the sport as the season concludes each fall,” said Gary Quinn, VP of Partnerships & General Manager of Owned Properties at NBC Sports.
NBC Sports renews its commitment to Royal Ascot with an extended U.S. media rights deal through 2028, enhancing live coverage and linking the event to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
