Developer Embark Studios has announced in-game compensation for players affected by server problems in Arc Raiders over the weekend. Players who logged into the extraction shooter on November 2 will be awarded 500 Raider Tokens.
The official Arc Raiders account on X acknowledged,
“We appreciate your patience as our servers had a wobble on Sunday, Scrappy must've pecked a few wires loose, he's been put on the naughty step 🐓.”According to SteamDB, the game reached a new peak concurrent player count of 354,836 on Steam that day.
Arc Raiders also holds the record for peak players among extraction shooters with PvP on Steam. The game is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Epic Games Store, so total player counts exceed the Steam numbers.
Server issues were also present during the launch on October 30, a common occurrence for multiplayer games that reflects high player demand. Embark's decision to release Arc Raiders between Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 supports the strong interest in the game.
Embark has stated that Arc Raiders will not introduce “novelty” skins, choosing to focus on the core game's visual design instead.
Author's summary: Embark Studios compensates Arc Raiders players for recent server issues, highlighting strong player turnout and focusing future updates on core game aesthetics rather than cosmetic additions.
