The first match between Suntory Sunbirds Osaka and Tokyo Great Bears was a tense five-set battle at Asue Arena, witnessed by 7,000 enthusiastic fans. The home team triumphed 3-2 (25-15, 20-25, 29-27, 18-25, 15-12).
Dmitriy Muserskiy contributed three aces in a row, three kill blocks, and 26 attack points with a 59% success rate, finishing with a total of 32 points to lead all scorers.
Captain Ran Takahashi added 15 points, while outside hitter Egor Kliuka contributed 10 points. Tokyo Great Bears’ Luciano Vicentin was their top performer with 26 points, including three blocks and two aces.
