The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick did not let light rain spoil their Melbourne Cup special live broadcast from Crown Melbourne. Instead, they moved their lively pre-Cup party indoors, hosting a fun-filled event with laughs, live music, and celebrity guests.
Broadcast live from 5–7 pm, replacing their usual Breakfast show hours, the event attracted more than 500 guests to the Crown Atrium rooftop. The hosts Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola, and Nick Cody were joined by notable figures such as Gai Waterhouse, Victoria Racing Club CEO Kylie Rogers, and Dave “Hughesy” Hughes.
"The event also had live performances from ARIA Award-winning duo PNAU and Cyril with the crowd enjoyed giveaways, live interviews, and the final public appearance of The People’s Cup, the three-handled Lexus Melbourne Cup trophy."
The light drizzle seemed like a warning for a cold, wet, and windy race day that unites the nation.
