Mail Service to Canada Will Resume Next Week

Mail shipments to Canada are scheduled to restart next week amid the ongoing rolling strike at Canada Post. A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Post Office (BPO) confirmed this resumption but warned that delivery delays might still occur due to existing disruptions.

“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”

Mail deliveries from Bermuda to Canada were halted in late September following a nationwide strike by Canada Post workers. Recently, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers shifted from a full national strike to a rotating strike, enabling mail services to recommence.

Additionally, the Bermuda Post Office announced that all local post offices will close at noon tomorrow for a staff event.

“The BPO apologises for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.”

Summary

This update informs that Bermuda’s mail service to Canada will resume next week despite potential delays caused by the ongoing rotating strike at Canada Post.
