Early last month, Intel unveiled its "Panther Lake" mobile processor series, featuring up to 16 CPU cores distributed as four P-Cores, eight E-Cores, and an additional four-core LPE cluster. Reliable Intel leaker @jaykihn0 has revealed details about the clock speeds of these CPUs.
The flagship Core Ultra X9 388H processor is expected to reach a turbo boost frequency of up to 5.1 GHz. These SoCs pack 16 CPU cores alongside 12 Xe3 GPU cores, though the GPU frequency remains undisclosed.
Top SKUs feature configurable TDPs of either 65 W or up to 80 W, based on OEM preferences. Standard PTH-H and PTL-U models are designed to fit within a 25 W TDP at stock speeds.
“The top-tier Core Ultra X9 388H processor is expected to have a CPU turbo boost of up to 5.1 GHz.”
These class labels (X9, X7, X5 and standard Core Ultra 9, 7, 5) align with previously known SKU naming conventions.
Author's summary: Intel's "Panther Lake" mobile processors push 16-core CPUs up to 5.1 GHz turbo, blending high performance with flexible TDP options to cater to different OEM needs.
