Timothée Chalamet Visits Michael Heizer’s ‘City’ for Vogue Photoshoot
Actor Timothée Chalamet traveled to Michael Heizer’s monumental Land art installation, City, located in the Nevada desert, for a Vogue photoshoot with photographer Annie Leibovitz. This massive artwork, measuring a mile and a half long by half a mile wide, opened in 2022 after decades of construction beginning in 1970.

“Annie is an absolute beast. Sometimes when people become so ubiquitous or iconic, you can lose sight of how much effort goes in. She’s the first one up at 5:30 a.m. You’re coming downstairs, and she’s poring over materials.”
He added, “She almost had a crazy compulsive creative attitude. She wasn’t concerned with anything but getting great stuff, and then I’m sure she went on to the next thing.”
