Hayley Williams shares another surprise track “Showbiz”

Hayley Williams Releases Surprise Track “Showbiz”

To celebrate the physical release of her third solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, Hayley Williams unveiled a surprise track titled “Showbiz.” The album was officially released on vinyl today, following previous surprise additions “Good Ol Days” and “Parachute.” These tracks were added after the initial 17-song collection that Williams released in the summer via her label Post Atlantic, distributed by Secretly Distribution.

About “Showbiz”

Williams co-wrote “Showbiz” with producer and collaborator Daniel James, who contributed across the entire album. The song narrates a romantic night in a club, with Williams singing:

“I wanna do it again / I wanna dance in the strobe lights / I wanna choke on the smoke / And feel your eyes on me.”

She then reflects on whether the moment held the same meaning for the other person as it did for her.

Visualizer and Artwork

The track’s visualizer showcases the Nashville skyline alongside the distinctive scribbles that Williams has incorporated throughout the album’s artwork, adding a personal artistic touch.

Global Celebration: Ego Nite

Record stores worldwide joined in celebrating the album’s vinyl release with events called “Ego Nite,” featuring live playback of records, exclusive merchandise, and opportunities to purchase physical copies of the LP.

Fans are encouraged to listen to “Showbiz” and enjoy the accompanying visualizer.
