In an interview with SFX Magazine, the actor reflected on filming his last scenes as Mike Wheeler. He spoke about what it felt like to say goodbye to a role he has played since 2016 and hinted at what to expect in the series’ conclusion.

“Mike is in mission mode. He and his friends are on a mission to finish this and try to find Vecna.”

Wolfhard added that the final scene for his character felt especially powerful:

“I was definitely pleased with it. It was bigger than I could have imagined. Reading the last part, it felt huge, and it ended in the best way possible for my character.”
