Thelma Woodman Lafferty, aged 90, passed away peacefully at a Bangor nursing home on October 15, 2025. She was born on May 17, 1935, to Laurence and Rene (Bailey) Bernardini.
Life and Interests
Thelma worked for GTE Sylvania and enjoyed camping and playing bingo.
Family
She was predeceased by her first husband, Lysle (Tena) Woodman; her second husband, Arthur Lafferty; her son Joey Woodman; her daughter Tammy Bryant; two sisters; four brothers; and sons-in-law Junior, Eddie, and Perley. She is survived by:
- One sister, Anna Hamel
- Children: Gloria Thibodeau, Norma Gray (husband Marvin), Tina Daigle (husband Dan), Shirley Grant (husband Les), and Evelyn Morin
- Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews
The family thanks the staff at West Gate for their care and compassion for Thelma.
Service Information
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on October 15, 2025, at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Bucksport. Arrangements are managed by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
